Natural Organic Toothpaste — Why and how to make the switch?

Conventional toothpastes contain controversial ingredients that you (partially) ingest twice a day. Natural organic toothpaste offers a healthy, effective, and certified alternative for the entire family.

What's hidden in conventional toothpastes

Natural active ingredients in a good organic toothpaste

🌿 White Clay

Kaolin clay is a gentle abrasive that mechanically cleans teeth without eroding them. Naturally purifying and absorbent.

🌱 Organic Aloe Vera

Soothing for gums, organic aloe vera helps reduce gum inflammation and promotes tissue regeneration.

🌸 Essential Oils

Mint, tea tree, clove: certified organic EOs have antibacterial and refreshing properties without synthetic compounds.

🧂 Sodium Bicarbonate

Naturally whitens teeth, neutralizes oral acidity (main cause of cavities), and sanitizes the mouth.

🌊 Sea Salt

Remineralizes enamel, sanitizes gums, and creates an oral environment hostile to pathogenic bacteria.

🫒 Coconut Oil

Traditional oil pulling: organic coconut oil dissolves fat-soluble bacteria, whitens naturally, and protects enamel.

FAQ — Natural Organic Toothpaste

Does natural organic toothpaste protect as well against cavities?

Yes, provided it contains effective remineralizing and antibacterial agents. Sodium bicarbonate, sea salt, and mint or tea tree essential oils have proven antibacterial properties. Brushing remains the #1 factor in cavity protection, regardless of the toothpaste used.

Is fluoride-free organic toothpaste enough for children?

The fluoride question is nuanced: in some regions, tap water is low in fluoride and many dentists recommend fluoridated toothpaste for children at high risk of cavities. For low-risk children, a quality natural organic toothpaste is sufficient. Consult your dentist for advice tailored to each child.

Does natural toothpaste foam less?

Yes, generally. Without SLS, the foam is less abundant. This is not a sign of ineffectiveness — SLS foam is a purely sensory effect. After a few weeks, you won't notice the difference and will benefit from a healthier brushing routine.
